Brighton Permaculture Trust Privacy Notice

Brighton Permaculture Trust is committed to protecting the privacy of people visiting our website, brightonpermaculture.org.uk and getting involved with Brighton Permaculture Trust, whether as supporters, volunteers or attending our courses and events. We never sell, pass on or exchange the data that is provided to us and only collect such data for the limited reasons set out below.

When somebody visits our website, we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard information such as the number of visitors to various parts of our site. This information does not identify anybody and does not allow Google to identify any such visitors. This information helps us understand how people use our website.

If you sign up as a member, to our volunteer mailing list and/or our newsletter, we only ask for your contact information in order to keep you informed of our Annual General Meetings/news and/or volunteer opportunities. You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email communication we send, or by contacting us. If you sign up to attend a volunteer session, a course or an event we will ask you for some further personal information that we need for the smooth running of the event and for health and safety reasons.

We collect additional information (which you can choose not to disclose) to help us understand what demographic we reach and how effective our communication is to different groups.

Brighton Permaculture Trust does not hold your date of birth or bank account/card details for security reasons. Financial transactions are carried out with banks and institutions that have their own security.

We do not share your information with any other parties. General, anonymised data is occasionally requested by organisations that help fund our work but no personal data is shared.

The information we hold about you is kept securely in our database, which can only be accessed by a small core team of people.
