 in one or more\, of our lovely orchards at Stanmer
 . We will be focussing on clearing areas under the
  trees. We will be meeting first at The Fruit Fact
 ory before moving to the orchard. <strong>Please n
 ote we are unable to give training\, so this sessi
 on is for anyone who has scything experience/has d
 one one of our scything courses.</strong></p>\n \n

 ety</strong> - please be aware that our orchards a
 re wild and wonderful places with many wild and wo
 nderful plants and creatures. Nettles\, ankle shre
 dding brambles\, rabbit holes and all the usual co
 untry hazards need attention too. </p>\n \n <p><a

  the day</p>\n \n <h2>Practical stuff</h2>\n \n <p
 >- Food and drink to sustain you for the session (
 snacks\, flasks\, water etc).<br />\n - Gardening 
 gloves are essential<br />\n - Sturdy footwear (no
  sandals)<br />\n - Clothing suitable for nettles\
 , brambles\, sun and rain. (Long trousers and slee
 ves are recommended unless you don’t care about st
 ings and scratches\; hardy types that chose to wea
 r shorts should at least wear ankle length socks.)
 </p>\n \n <p>If you have your own scythe please br
 ing it\, although we do have spares.<br />\n <br /
 >\n Water bottles will be able to be refilled on s
 ite if necessary. Dress appropriately for weather 
 conditions and messy work. Public toilets are adja
 cent to the site (please do not urinate in the orc
 hard) and there is a cafe if you want to buy food/
 drinks.<br />\n <br />\n Please note that for all 
 the activities all children under the age of 18 an
 d people with support needs must be accompanied by
  a parent/carer who is responsible for their super
 vision\, safety and any medication needed.</p>\n \
