Apple Day is taking a rest for 2020 and re-launching in 2021 as a celebration of apples throughout the year.
This new festival will comprise a series of events, building on the seasonal changes seen in the orchards as well as the weekend activities that Brighton Permaculture Trust carry out outside the Fruit Factory between July and October.
Stanmer Park is changing and so are we. Brighton Permaculture Trust is all about sustainable ecological design and we will be redesigning Apple Day(s) to better show our core values and to fit within the new park design which is due for completion in autumn 2020.
Apple Day Brighton has been a much loved family day out. Brighton Permaculture Trust has been putting on this free event for 13 years. It has grown from a seed of an idea to attracting over 8,000 visitors enjoying the fruits from the orchards. This is a great achievement for such a tiny organisation and the event’s long running success is down to the passion of everyone involved.
We would love to hear your memories of previous Apple Days and get your thoughts on what to include in future events.
