Brighton Permaculture Trust supports sustainable transport. The car park fee of £10 reflects our desire to gently encourage our visitors to consider the alternatives.
Take the number 78 bus from Brighton, which runs every hour from 10am to 5pm, departing from Old Steine, Brighton Station, Open Market etc. Extra buses will be provided to supply demand.
The bus will drop off and pick up at the lower end of the green to keep the majority of the park traffic free.
Get the train to Falmer station, then it’s a pleasant 25 minute walk through the park to Apple Day. Trains depart every half-hour from Brighton (9 minutes) and from Lewes (7 minutes). Click here for a train journey planner.
A stewarded morning ride with others will be hosted by the Bike Hub. Starting 10am and 11am from the Level. A designated bicycle parking area is available on site for all bikes.
Healthwalks are leading a walk from Moulsecoombe Rail Station at 10:30am, via Wilde Park (Lewes Road bus stop) at 11:00, and arriving at Stanmer at roughly 11:45am. So why not leave the car at home and put on your walking shoes for a fun filled, healthy day. Please note: this is a red level walk – so quite challenging with some hills and a few steep-ish slopes. Roughly 1.5 miles.
