Monday 28th October Pasteurising & bottling at Stanmer 10am - 3pm
Join Robbi at the Fruit Factory for a pasteurising session - pasteursing and bottling juice that was pressed over the weekend. There may be other jobs to do like sorting and labelling bottles. A lot of the juice we make is sold fresh but pasteurising is necessary to be able to store juice for longer periods of time.
Please register for this task, so we know who is coming and only register if you are sure you can come.
IMPORTANT: Please do not register to take part if you are ill or have had any sickness or diarrhoea in the previous 14 days.
This session is not suitable for small children or for people with a wasp allergy.
Your host
When you register you will receive an email which will give you a contact phone number in case you need to call on the day.
Practical stuff
Please bring whatever food and drink you need to sustain you for the day (please note there is a cafe opposite the Fruit Factory). Please dress according to weather conditions - although we'll be indoors for much of the session the main doors will be open. Please bring work gloves if you have any.
There are toilets adjacent to the Fruit Factory and also toilets at One Garden nearby.
Please note that for all the activities all children under the age of 18 and people with support needs must be accompanied by a parent/carer who is responsible for their supervision, safety and any medication needed.
Directions
Meet at the Fruit Factory which is in Stanmer village almost opposite the cafe. See 2nd map down via this link:
