Please come along to Brighton Permaculture Trust’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) which will take place on Friday 23 November 2018
At the start of the evening we are very lucky to be able to offer a tour of Brighton & Hove Food Partnership’s Community Kitchen in Community Base at 5.30pm. Brighton Permaculture Trust and Brighton & Hove Food Partnership are partners on several projects including Racehill Community Orchard. The Food Partnership had a very successful fundraising campaign at the beginning of this year for their new community kitchen which is now offering an amazing selection of courses and activities.
The AGM proper will start at 6pm with presentations about our activities over the last year, and a small amount AGM business. Find out about our achievements over the past year in everything from our National Collection of Sussex apples, through more community orchard planting to the plant nursery at our plot at Stanmer and introduction of reduced concessionary places for our courses and events.
Irene Soler, a great Brighton Permaculture Trust supporter and regular at Permaculture in the Pub, will be sharing her experience of using permaculture design throughout the running of her
striking A Drop in the Ocean project. (There is still time to take part in the last phase of the project: The Final Thread, on several dates this month).
In addition we will be asking for some feedback about Apple Day and how to improve it for 2019.
And of course, our lovely Fran will be serving some delicious vegetarian food and Stephan will be bringing some of our own Stanmer Scrumpy to wash it down with.
The evening is a great opportunity to socialise with some like-minded people and find out more about Brighton Permaculture Trust.
We hope to see you there!
