A big thank you to everyone who came to our annual harvest celebration on Sunday 2nd October 2016.
The event was extremely well attended, and we were blessed yet again with wonderful weather.
Our small but dedicated team put a lot of time and energy into planning and running the event, and we were blessed all over again with an excellent team of volunteers who helped us in the run up to the event and on the day itself. Thank you all!
In addition to over 1000 litres of juice, this year for the first time we sold our very own Stanmer Scrumpy, made from apples from our -:- Stanmer orchards and apples picked/collected locally by the -:- scrumping project. The consensus seemed to be that it was a very agreeable tipple!
Now it is time for us to take stock and think about planning next year’s Apple Day Brighton.
There is currently a question mark over the date. Traditionally, we’ve always tried to hold it on the last Sunday in September, but due to circumstances beyond our control it looks like it will be the first weekend in October again (Sunday 1 October 2017).
We’ll let you know as soon as we know!
