Racehill Community Orchard scooped two awards at the Brighton and Hove City in Bloom Awards in October: a Silver Gilt for Best Community Charity Garden and a Gold for Best Wildlife Garden.
Huge thanks to the regular volunteers and to Brighton and Hove Cityparks Rangers, Green Gym and BCV for all their help. Over the past year a patch of bramble that had never been cleared before was cleared in order to plant two brand new trees. More extensive scrub clearance was achieved than in previous years resulting in even more flowers appearing on the site.
Well done Kirsty and the Racehill team!
